Key event's and issues

The major theme in "The boy in the striped pyjamas" is the holocaust and Nazis and how everyone is ruled buy the fury.

There are heaps of key issues in the novel "the boy in striped pyjamas". Bruno and his family have to move to a dreadful place called out with. They are forced to live here for what Bruno was told the foreseeable future but he now knows it will be longer.

Bruno lives next to a prison camp and sees thousands of people in the same boring blue and white striped pyjamas. As he is still very young he doesn't understand that it's a prison camp and he thinks that they are very lucky because there and thousands of people they can talk to. But what Bruno doesn't know is how they have suffered.

Journal entry

Dear diary,I don't think we will be moving back to our house in Berlin. We have been here for a lot longer than Gretel and I had thought we would. Father keeps telling us that it will get better, but it hasn't we don't like it here.

The only friend that I have met is schmuel and he doesn't like talking about himself. He isn't very fun all we do is sit there and talk and he wears the same boring "blue and white pyjamas".But he is the only person I can play with as Gretel is still " a hopeless case".

What do you think will happen by the end

I think that it will have a big ending something  like the war ends and the prisoners are released, or it could be completely different and the war keeps going and even more people are taken prisoner at out with and Bruno and his family never get to go back to their house in Berlin and see all of their family and friends. I think this because the book is all about war and how it affects people so it just seems like this is how it will end

Who will change the most by the end of the novel

I think that Bruno will have the greatest change by the end of the book. Something tragic will happen to him. I think he will be hurt in some horrific way that will affect him for the rest of his life. I only think that this will happen as the story is really depressing, how he has to move to a place that he doesn't know, there isn't anyone he can talk to and he lives next to a prison camp

The boy in the striped pyjamas

My novel in set in Germany and in the 1940's
There was a war between Germany's and Poland
Bruno the 9 year old child and his family have been forced by the fury to move out to a dreadful place called the out with.
Bruno was a very happy child when he lived in Berlin he had plenty of friends and family who surrounded him.
He lived in a very nice house and "if he stood in his tippy toes he could see across Berlin"
Once he moved to Berlin he didn't have any friends he didn't know anyone all and all he could see was hundreds of men and children wearing the same boring striped pyjamas
